All rooms are individually decorated in a light-hearted American style. Each bedroom's decor represents one of the American states. You can choose to stay in Florida, Hawaii, Texas, Arizona, New York, Pennsylvania, Wyoming, Montana, or Maine.

In addition, all rooms are fully en-suite, and feature colour televisions, tea making facilities, hairdryers, alarm clock radios, and fresh towels daily.

Breakfast

At Compston House we believe in combining top quality ingredients that capture the true flavors of Cumbria, with authentic American recipes. We are pleased to serve award winning (Silver Award) local Cumberland Sausage and Home Cured Bacon from Clayton’s Butchers in Ambleside, local free range eggs, fresh ground coffee and Lakeland Special tea from Farrer’s in Kendal, vine-ripened tomatoes, Kellogg’s cereals, and Heinz baked beans.
