"Set in the most beautiful corner of England" (Wordsworth) a mere two miles from the hustle and bustle of Bowness, Windermere and Ambleside, Broadoaks is far away from the maddening crowds in open countryside high up the Troutbeck Valley within seven acres of grounds, Troutbeck meandering through our woods Broadoaks lends itself to a haven of peace and tranquility where the strains of modern day life seem to disappear.

From the moment one enters the front door; the warmth of the rich oak panelling in the entrance hall and the sight of the pitch pine open gallery stairs exudes the character of the house.

On the right hand side of the hall is situated the exquisite dining room with it's views of Troutbeck fell, whilst to the left the oak panelling continus through into the music room with it's barrel vaulted acoustic ceiling, Bechstein piano and featuring an open ingle nook log fire. This is the main lounge where aperitifs and relaxing after dinner drinks are served.
