Pepper House is a cruck-frame farmhouse, where the three double/twin guest bedrooms have been sympathetically upgraded to incorporate en-suite facilities. Situated on a hillside overlooking a lovely valley, the house commands splendid views, and the gardens have plenty of seating areas to take advantage. Open all year (except 23 - 26 Dec), we offer exceptional B & B and optional three-couse evening meal, with imaginative home-cooked food, locally sourced or produced. We have a full licence and offer a good range of wines and spirits, beer and soft drinks. The house is architecturally fascinating, with many old beams. There are two lounges available for residents, with log fires in the winter. Pepper House is in the Grizedale Forest valley, ideally istuated for walks or bike rides from the house, and for exploring all aeas of southern and central Lakeland. John Ruskin's former home, Brantwood at Coniston, and Beatrix Potter's house Hill Top at Sawrey are both close by. Birdlife and wildlife abounds in the area.
